| Looking for new halfshafts for my TT-swapped NA with an R200 diff and 5-bolt halfshafts. Needs to be able to take 450-500rwhp, but not drag launches. Being able to handle more power would be better so if I want to run race gas the shafts can take it. Talked to Thedriveshaftshop.com and they said they'd build me a new set of 500hp Level 2 axles for $850. I didn't get a price for higher hp like a Level 5 yet, but looks like they are pushing $2K for a lot of cars. I also see I can get a pair of new OEM axles for about $1200. How much power can stock NA axles take before you start having breaking issues? My issue is that I have a ton of slop in my drivetrain that makes my Z leapfrog when letting it roll along at idle. And is very obnoxious when getting on/off the gas, especially so in low gears. I want brand new axles with as little slop as possible, not interested in used axles. I have every bushing on the car replaced (subframe/diff/all control arms/engine/tranny/etc). I've swapped transmissions twice. Put in another diff. Had stock clutch, RPS Sport 6-puck, and RPS Max disk. Always still there. I have coilovers with maybe 8K miles on them. On the lift I can see that I can rotate the axles quite a bit with the wear slop in them. Since I've replaced everything else I'm willing to try axles at this point. Thanks,
